Hello, I'm

Professional Writer & Educator

About Me

Ariel Mobley graduated from the University of North Florida. She graduated with a communication degree with a concentration in public relations. She loves writing short stories and use to be a high school journalist for her school’s newspaper called The Rampage. The Rampage won 60 percent of the awards in writing categories we competed in against two-dozen high schools. Ariel topped the competition by winning the following awards from The Florida Times-Union: First Place – Sports Writing, Second Place – Feature Writing.
She’s also passionate about improving the reading skills of middle school students in the neighborhood of Moncrief. Moncrief is filled with potholes, there are a plethora of liquor stores, funeral homes, and churches in the neighborhood. Moncrief is known for violence, poverty, and gang-related crimes. But Northwestern Middle School is located on Moncrief and West 45th street.
In 2017, Ariel spent a year at Northwestern Middle School as a mentor and teacher’s assistant for 6th graders in their writing and reading classes. She believes that every student deserves great teachers, and just because the school is in an urban area doesn’t mean the students should be forgotten.
She started translating her love of writing and teaching into an e-learning website. She’s currently working on creating a business called Colony of Scholars. Colony of Scholars provides scholarship coaching and educational courses for learners of all ages. Ariel has received over $30,000 in academic scholarships, and in her free time provides scholarship coaching to high school students in her area.
