Senior Internship Experience
For my senior internship, I spent the semester working with Communities In Schools of Jacksonville as a resource development intern. My job duties focused on creating over 300+ personal invitations, sending out donation requests for the silent auction, preparing documents and marketing material for the board of directors meetings, and creating vital excel sheets for the executive director to use for special projects. During my time at Communities In Schools, I created and edited my first blog post. The blog post was posted to their official page about Communities In Schools of Jacksonville celebrating 30 years of working with students and making sure they are on track to graduating high school.

Sending Donation Request Project

I was given an individual project to create verbiage for the donation request letter relating to all the selfless work that Communities In Schools of Jacksonville does for Duval County School students and the community. I researched each organization or business information regarding an in-kind donation or donation request. I changed the information on the donation request form to cater to each specific organization and then attached a verification form showing the organization is a 501(c)(3). I mailed each individual donation request via mail. I worked on this project a lot during my time at Communities In Schools of Jacksonville.
Save the date & Gala invitations project
My internship supervisor gave me a project the was ongoing during my time at Communities In Schools of Jacksonville. She wanted me to create a unique design for the envelopes for the save the date invitations and gala invitations. This was the first time anyone has created the invitations in house. I was responsible for changing each individual recipient's address and name on the envelope and chasing each individual envelope through a printer. I stuffed each individual envelope with invites and used the postage machine to put stamps on the envelopes.

VOLUNTEER FAIR
I was given the responsibility to set up a table at UNF for the college volunteer fair day. My duties were to make sure the table was set at a specific time and try to recruit as many college students as possible so that Communities In Schools of Jacksonville would have volunteers for their student reading days. We got about 30 students to sign up to be a volunteer at our events in the future.
